JOB SUMMARY:Does understanding what makes things work describes how you like to spend your time?  In this occupation you may supervise, lead, or perform various technical duties concerned with the planning, research, development, design, testing, production, installation, and operation of engineering projects and services involving mechanical equipment and systems.  You may apply a knowledge of thermodynamics, mechanics, and other physical, mathematical and engineering sciences to problems concerned with the production, transmission, measurement and use of energy, especially heat and mechanical power.  You may also investigate unique or controversial engineering problems and serve as a technical consultant to others.  Typical specialty areas in this field include: industrial, construction, guns, fire control systems, ammunition, aerospace, missiles, and related components; heating, refrigeration, cryogenic, pumping, piping and air-conditioning systems; fuels and energy resources; and mechanical controls, instruments, and measurement standards.  Accelerate your career--apply now.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
