About the Position: COPIES OF CERTIFICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH APPLICATION / RESUME. Continuous exposure to sun and prolonged periods of high temperature and humidity. In case of exposure to infectious disease, incumbent is required to obtain the Hepatitis B vaccination series within a 24-hour period. Incumbent is required to follow environmental safeguards and wear personnal protective equipment. may be assigned to irregular duties or when needed for special recreational events and related requirements. Work hours may be involve weekend, weekdays, holidays and night duty. This can be Intermittent (Flexible) position. Flexible employee may work 0-40 hours per work on a scheduled or unscheduled basis. Flexible employees are ineligible for health and dental insurance, 401(k), retirement, annual and sick leave benefits. Applications are considered active for up to three months after submission date.

    Acts as water safety instructor. Manages all swimming lessons and instructs when scheduled, at the assigned aquatices facility. Develops swim program according to students ability and promotes students to higher level of swimming according to their skills. Instructs all levels of swimming and approriate strokes, to include; front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly. Teach students from age groups of infant through adults. Introduces and instructs safety and survival skills to students, when appropriate to level of instruction. Instructors work with lifeguards to ensure that swim lessons are safe at all times.

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Work experience related to the duties described above and possession of the following certificates: WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR, CARDIO-PULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR), and FIRST AID certifications. Certificates issued by American Red Cross, Ellis @ Associates, Star Guard or other nationally recognized agencies are acceptable. Highly desirable, possession of a Lifegurad Certification.
