Recruiting for a part-time Neurologist for the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Primary duties will be assessing, consulting, and treating patients with general neurological conditions and will help rule in or out certain medical conditions that may be related to a neurological condition.  Staff Physician must possess commitment to patient care and take an active role in a very active medical center.  The physician must possess excellent skills, both clinical and administrative.  The physician will be required to participate in an on-call rotation on weekends and holidays.  The rotation is shared with other physicians within the medical center. In addition, incumbent will provide guidance to rotating residents, fellows, and medical students.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

1. Citizen of the United States (Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens)
2. Must possess a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.  The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.  (Schools of medicine holding regular institutional membership in the Association of American Medical Colleges for the year in which the degree was granted; schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was granted; schools (including foreign schools) accepted by the licensing body of a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico), or in the District of Columbia as qualifying for full or unrestricted licensure).
3. Must possess a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
4. Board certified or eligible preferred.
5. Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
