JOB SUMMARY:

Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:
This position is located in Eskan Village, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Eskan Village is a joint military SAO community, housing military and DoD civilian personnel. The installation (secure compound) is a unique setting that supports military, civilians, local hires and a limited expatriate community. Deals with high ranking Military and Civilians on a daily occurrence and tact and decorum are of utmost importance. The weather can be hot and dry with extreme heat in the summer months and mild winters. Dust storms may occur at any time. You will serve as a Store Worker for the United States Military Training Mission (USMTM) Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a joint field operating agency.Incumbent will perform a variety of tasks such as price marking, shelf replenishment, segregating, rotating, receiving and displaying items for sale in a Commissary Store.

Screen Out Element: Experience working as a Store Worker

Physical effort: Work requires continuous walking, standing, bending, or stooping, and moving of arms to fill shelves and counters. Frequently lifts or moves heavy boxes or crates weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally over 50 pounds using a manual or electric pallet jack.

Working Conditions:Most work is performed in the store display area, which is well lighted and maintained at a comfortable temperature.

Some work is performed in the meat and/or produce coolers and/or the processing rooms of the meat or produce department. Aisles are often crowded with customers and grocery carts. May be exposed to differences in temperatures in storing or obtaining items in refrigerated rooms. There is danger of minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes, and bruises, or heat sealer burns.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:

Incumbent must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
