About the Position:
NDAA FY2010 requires the repeal of NSPS. The position(s) covered by this vacancy announcement is scheduled to transition from NSPS to GS or an applicable personnel system no later than January 1, 2012.
This position will be filled at the Walter Reed Medical Treatment Facility but will be transferred to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WNNMMC) at Bethesda by September 2011. The duties of the position will remain as advertised, but the duty location will change in order for the Hospital to meet mission needs.
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS OPEN CONTINOUS - it will remain open until position is filled. Cut-offs and referral lists will be sent every month to the selecting official.
Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Master of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred, but not required. Must be able to demonstrate autonomy and a high degree of discrimination identifying, assessing and completing priorities of responsibility.

You will maintain delegated responsibility for the comprehensive integration of the Anna Mae Hays Clinical Nurse Transition Program into the daily operations of the first and only Joint Medical Facility within the DoD Military Healthcare System. You will recommend and implement innovative methodology for the integration of program objectives, processes, and services. You will perform as consultant to Joint team, providing knowledge and application of leadership and team building skills, as well as group facilitation, coordination, coaching, problem solving, interpersonal communication, integration of work processes, products and obtaining resources. You will serve as the technical expert and consultant to management officials regarding all matters relative to the Clinical Nurse Transition Program and patient safety. You will serve as a subject matter expert for medical-surgical nursing, simulation training, responsible for the professional development of nurses.
