About the Position: After the INITIAL CUT OFF DATE of 30 March, 2011 and 2nd CUT OFF DATE of 14 April 2011, subsequent cut-off dates will be the first of each month (e.g., 1 May, 1 June, etc.), as needed, until the closing date.
Receives specific instructions on what is to be done. After receiving instructions, is expected to complete duties on own initiative. Completed work is reviewed for completeness and adherence to instructions.
Intermittent employees work 0-39 hours per week with no set schedule. Temporary intermittent employees are not eligible for health/life insurance, and pay into Social Security. Intermittent employees are not eligible for sick/annual leave.

Performs laborer tasks requiring sustained physical effort including: loading/unloading trucks and other conveyances; moving items by hand; opening crates and boxes and/or stacking materials; moving/arranging heavy machinery or equipment; clearing lawn and grounds under and around buildings and work area and disposing of materials; mowing grass using powered walking type lawn mower; cutting weeds using hand/powered weed cutters; trimming shrubbery; cleaning/housekeeping in work areas; and other tasks under close supervision. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Exerts moderately heavy physical effort in frequently lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 60 pounds and in pushing heavily loaded conveyances. Occasionally lifts heavier objects. Is subject to continuous walking, bending, stooping and reaching. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoors and outdoors involving exposure to temperature extremes. Is exposed to noise, dust and dirt and possibility of bruises, cuts and scrapes.

Special Requirements: SCREEN OUT ELEMENT: Ability to do the work of a Laborer without more than normal supervision.
