This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Administration on Children Youth and Families (ACYF), Office of the Commissioner.

If selected for this position, you will:
- Monitor execution of assigned programs and aministrative portions of the ACYF operating budget to assure that all received funds are properly allocated.
- Provide advice and reccomendations on all aspects of the annual operating budget to agency program officials and manager.
- Review, analyze, and interpret legislation, appropriations language, OMB directives and Department Guidelines pertaining to the assigned segment of the agency budget.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare advice of allowances for program funds for central and regional offices which reflect allocations and changes in obligations.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have one year specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Government.
Examples of Specialized Experience: Skill in analyzing, interpreting, and applying various legislative, policy, and regulatory decisions to develop budgetary plans, policies, and guidance, and to make adjustments to the budget.
Conditions of Employment:

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):
Knowledge of ACF Legislative authorities, program and administrative policies.
Skill in identifying and analyzing cost benefit relationships between the ACYF program and budget to develop multi-year budget plans and forecasts.
Sill in developing and carrying out written and oral strategies for presenting the budget.
Skill in analyzing, interpreting, and applying various legislative, policy and regulatory decisions.
Ability to forecast and conduct reconciled budget analysis.
