About the Position: Employees occupying these positions will provide emergency support to disaster stricken areas throughout the US. Employees must pass a stringent medical screening and be prepared to live and work in extremely austere conditions. Work schedule will initially be arduous, with much overtime. Sleeping arrangements may be limited to using a sleeping bag or in the vehicle used to move from location to location. The duty station for pay purposes for these positions is Kennewick, WA with possible 100% TDY (Temporary Duty) in various locations throughout the US.

    Provides contract development & contract monitoring support for a variety of USACE contracts. Requires a detailed knowledge & understanding of acquisition statutes, regulation, directives & procedures as well as business practices associated with supporting USACE buys. Works with various personnel to resolve problems occurring during established procurement phase. Collects quantitative & qualitative data in significant areas relating it to procurement & contract operations. Assists in establishing procurement & contract goals, objectives & data collection systems. Maintains current knowledge of procurement program objectives. Plans & conducts conferences with contractors & government personnel to assure compliance contractual requirements & to preclude unauthorized changes or alterations to the contract. Monitors status of contractor performance. Prepares reports or briefs contract data for meetings, inspections, audits & in progress reviews.
