JOB SUMMARY:Stars and Stripes has reported first-hand on military conflicts since the Civil War and continuously since World War II by reporting information and news of interest and value. We offer the military community a choice of media to assure access by service members, their families, veterans civilian employees, and other interested readers. Our news gathering and publishing activities are guided by the principles of a free press and are free of any and all outside control.
Distributes newspaper to Stars and Stripes outlets, such as retailers, vending machines & home delivery carriers throughout assigned geographical area. Click on job title to see full vacancy announcement.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Receive newspapers at designated drop location and delivers to designated drop location such as Vending Machines (VM), Exchanges, Commissaries and other location on manifests as directed.
- Maintains accurate returns records and forward to HQ per schedule.
- Collect, process, and deposit coins from vending machines following prescribed procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance on vending machines.
- Keep management advised of community changes, events & needs and provide immediate response to customer service and/or interface with communities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Work experience demonstrated to show ability and knowledge to perform the duties described above.
Condition of employment:
1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection.
2. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
3. All required background check of AR 215-3 must be successfully completed and maintained.
4. Satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) that will be initiated prior to appointment to a NAF position.
5. You will be required to show Social Security card upon appointment to a NAF position.
6. You will be required to work nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
7. You must possess a USAREUR Certificate of Forces Drivers License.
8. Must be able to lift 75 lbs, work in inclement weather, and drive long periods of time.
