    Duties: Inspects, troubleshoots, and tests complex electrical/electronic feedback control systems, protective relays for high voltage switchgear associated with the test facilities, and test equipment. Inspects and troubleshoots high and low voltage sub-stations switchgear, transformers, and circuit breakers. Troubleshoots installed electrical equipment (i.e. connection boxes, switches, indicator panels and other connecting or controlling equipment)by tracing circuits, locating shorts, faulty wiring or equipment.   • **THIS POSITION REQUIRES OFFICIAL NO FEE OR TOURIST PASSPORT** **SCREEN OUT ELEMENT: Ability to do the work of an Electrical Engineer without more than normal supervision. Applicants must meet the screen out elements to be considered further.

    To meet the screen out elements applicants should document experience in the following: (1)Knowledge of the appropriate US criteria guidelines, including DoD manuals, military specifications and standards, Army and Air Force technical manuals, US Codes and standards, including the National Electric Code, National Electric Safety Code, Life Safety Code, Underwriters Laboratory Standards, National Electric Manufacturers Association Standards, and other guidelines. (2) Knowledge of: US manufacturers catalogs and handbooks, industry guides, standards, and technical literature governing the construction of electrical installations is required. (3)Must be familiar with foreign national codes, standards, and practices.

    **WORKING CONDITIONS: Generally, indoor work location has power, water, heating, and air conditioning, although outages should be expected. work is performed both inside and outside. Electrician sometimes is required to make repairs and installations in bad weather, in work areas that are noisy, dirty, dusty, and greasy; on scaffolding or cranes at heights of 30 or more feet, and, in close quarters such as manhole or attics. There is occasional exposure to the possibility of injury from falling, electrical shock, burns, and rotary devices such as electrical motors. There is frequent exposure to the possibility of cuts and bruises.

    Lack of sleep may occur due to long work hours and uncomfortable living conditions. Employee will report symptoms of stress and fatigue to the on-site supervisor. Living conditions range from having all basic amenities; light, power, water, refrigeration, to not having one or more of these amenities.

    Employees who need to store refrigerated medication shall prior to departure from the primary duty station, inform the local Emergency Operations Center so availability of refrigeration at the work site can be determined. Environmental conditions at work locations may range from excessive heat and humidity to extreme cold and rainy.

    Some locations require that the employee be able to maintain stable mobility in sandy and unstable terrain. Although some work is sedentary, work conditions such as ergonomic issues related to lifting and carrying, seating, or video display terminals; repetitive motion injury from using computers, and the like may be expected. **Must be able to pass a physical examination for overseas duty. **Immunization screening, including anthrax, is required.
