About the Position: The position is under the supervision of a District commander within GRD.

Incumbent serves as an agent of the commander of assigned organization on accounting, financial, and managerial issues that require examination by a financial professional. Performs quick response reviews, consulting and advisory services, risk management, liaison with external audit organizations, audit compliance and follow-up, and a variety of staff and systems accounting duties to analyze accounting records and to enhance the financial reports and operational data used by local management. Performs the most complex analysis and evaluations, conducts a variety of reviews that are usually without precedent, serves as the command representative and point of contact for external agencies' inspections and audits, and exercises oversight and limited technical and administrative supervision over lower-graded IR Accountants. Position may be located at the Major Subordinate Command/Division/State/Direct Reporting Unit organizational level up through the MACOM/HQDA Staff Agency level.

General Schedule

NOTE: Generally, indoor work location has power, water, heating, and air conditioning, although outages should be expected. Lack of sleep may occur due to long work hours and uncomfortable living conditions. Employee will report symptoms of stress and fatigue to the on-site supervisor. Living conditions range from having all basic amenities; light, power, water, refrigeration, to not having one or more of these amenities. Employees who need to store refrigerated medication shall prior to departure from the primary duty station, inform the local Emergency Operations Center so availability of refrigeration at the work site can be determined. Environmental conditions at work locations may range from excessive heat and humidity to extreme cold and rainy. Some locations require that the employee be able to maintain stable mobility in sandy and unstable terrain. Although some work is sedentary, work conditions such as ergonomic issues related to lifting and carrying, seating, or video display terminals; repetitive motion injury from using computers, and the like may be expected.

NOTE: Foreign post differential of 15-35% is authorized while TCS/TDY to a downrange location. Additional compensation of 15-35% over basic compensation will be granted to employees for service at designated danger pay costs.

Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area. Locality rates of pay in CONUS will not be used for pay setting when transferring to the overseas area.
