THIS IS A STUDENT TEMPORARY POSITION

The student performs routine tasks and applies knowledge gained through work experience of possible alternatives which will aid in gaining desired results. Skills, knowledge, and judgment are required in arranging work sequences, adjusting and operating equipment, and recognizing significant deviations in results obtained.



QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

This announcement is for positions at the NR-I and NR-II levels. Students must be pursing studies in physical science or engineering, or possess coursework in physical science, engineering and/or  mathematics. Financial and commercial mathematics is not acceptable.





To qualify for the NR-I , you must be a student enrolled at least half-time in an educational program at an accredited educational institution. The salary range for the NR-I is $17,803 - $32,585 (base pay, does not include locality). Salary is based on education level and experience. Level I positions serve as a trainee acquiring a familiarity with the laboratory and/or field environment.

To qualify for the NR-II, you must be a student enrolled at least half-time in an educational program at an accredited educational institution, and possess a bachelor's degree or possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the NR-I. Specialized experience includes work experience that requires applying a limited background of knowledge of scientific methods and practices. The salary range for the NR-II is $27,123 - $49,643 (base pay, does not include locality). Salalry is based on education level and experience.

You can receive credit for education received outside the United States if you provide evidence that it is comparable to an accredited educational instution in the United States when you apply.
