JOB SUMMARY:

THE STUDENT TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (STEP) enables students to earn a salary while continuing their studies and offers them valuable work experience.

THIS IS A STUDENT TEMPORARY POSITION

The student performs various support tasks involved with equipment operations and that support data processing operations or computer specialist/scientist. Skill, knowledge and judgment are required in arranging work sequences, adjusting and operating equipment, and recognizing significant deviations and results obtained.



QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

This announcement is for positions at the NC-I.

To qualify for the NC-I you must be a student enrolled at least half-time in an accredited educational institution. The salary range for the NC-I is $17,803 - $32,585 (base pay, does not include locality). Salary is based on education level and experience.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen.

Applicant must submit transcript or list of courses with credit hours, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. You can receive credit for education received outside the United States if you provide evidence that it is comparable to an accredited educational institution in the United States when you apply.

Applicant will need to successfully complete a background investigation before they can be appointed into this position.

Selective Service registration required.
