DUTIES:
Performs tasks related to the administrative management of an organization. This includes activities such as interpreting administrative policies, developing and implementing organizational policies, defining administrative requirements, and/or providing advice to management on related issues. Performs liaison duties in support of an organizational program planning process. Participates in developing and implementing long- and short-range plans, procedures, and policies relating to the organization's administrative needs. Plans and administers projects or programs, including scheduling and layout of operations, planning for budget and cost requirements, and inspection and surveillance of materials, methods, and equipment used in testing, evaluation, and applications. Organizes, schedules, coordinates, and facilitates the timing, sequence, quality, quantity, and issues related to all such projects and work requests. Provides administrative support and guidance for organizational budgeting and financial management activities. Provides advice to management and program personnel on budgetary and finance issues such as budget formulation, justification, and execution; financial management; and financial reporting.

MINIMUM FEDERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifying experience for the FP-04 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the FP-05 or GS-9 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Candidate's years of specialized experience and the Peace Corps policy will determine the grade level being offered. Positions may be filled at any grade level. The starting grade for each position will be based on the needs of management and of the specific overseas post, as well as the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Fluent foreign language (professional level) will be required for some positions. Some positions require fluency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese. Other languages will be required according to the needs of the post. Applicants will be screened for language proficiency during the interview process. Also please ensure you indicate your language proficiency in your application.
The date on which an office requests a roster of candidates will be considered the closing date for applications for the purpose of applying veterans preference rights. This is a Federal Government civilian job called an Excepted Appointment. As an Excepted Service agency, Peace Corps employees are paid on the Foreign Service pay scale and employment is time-limited not to exceed 5 years.
