The incumbent is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:pparticipating in the set-up of service areas; assembling plates, trays cafeteria lines, etc.; participating in serving food and drinks to customers; performing limited food preparation and stocks or replenishes food; following specific instructions to store and handle food; cleaning food preparation and food service work surfaces and participating in ware washing.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Having the ability or potential to do the job takes precedence over how the incumbent has gained the skill or knowledge or the length of time spent in the line of work of food service.
Applicants please note: This position is open at the WG-2 level, therefore, food service worker experience is needed. Please be sure to list all food service experience you may have (paid and/or non-paid). Creditable experience is experience gained in a hospital or similar institution which has allowed you to gain ability to work in all areas of the kitchen. Please be sure your application reflects all your food service experience.
You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.
You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.
