JOB SUMMARY:

The Providence VA Medical Center provides high quality comprehensive outpatient   and inpatient healthcare to veterans residing in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. Each veteran patient is assured personalized care by a team of health care providers.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required.
• Background and/or Security Investigation required.

The Intensive Care unit that serves critically ill veteran medical/surgical patients in need of intensive nursing care, physiological monitoring and intensive meidcal/surgical diagnostic and/or therapeutic interventions.                                  

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Must be U.S. citizen. Graduate of an NLNAC/CCNE accredited school of nursing with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing or a field related to nursing preferred. Must possess and active, current, full and unrestricted professional nursing license. National certification in Clinical Area in Nursing Administration a plus. Experience with electronic medical record and bar code medication administration system preferred.  ACLS certification. Previous critical care experience preferred.

You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.

After appointment, you will be subject to random testing for illegal drug use.

You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.
