This position is located in the Facility Support Contract Section of the Public Works Branch, Marine Corps Base.  The purpose of this position is to inspect and insure that the contract work is performed in accordance with the contract documents.  The incumbent performs a wide range of contract surveillance duties in support of PW Facilities Support Contract in maintenance service and maintenance contraction efforts including pre-bid quality assurance tasks and QA inspections and performance of certain contract administration functions.  Investigates complaints from customers relative to service, damages, property loss, and other matters involving the contract.  Acts as a liaison between customers and the contractor by providing technical assistance to the specifications drafter in defining customer contract requirements and quality assurance standards.
